Book Book is a rural community in the central east part of the Riverina. It is situated about 12 km (7 mi) north from Kyeamba and 15 km (9 mi) south from Ladysmith.
Book Book exists now only through a set of old tennis courts and the telephone exchange that sits just off the Tumbarumba road.

The Book Book Public School was discontinued on 27 October 1989.
Some years ago I was traveling with family through the Loire Valley and we passed through the town of Tours. In the central part of the city there is an ancient tower (French “tour”). It was plain that if we had stopped to be guided through that remnant we would be taking the Tours tour tour.
The last resident is a grumpy hen, who used to work as a chef despite having a wing amputated. Now in ill health, she spends her days muttering unintelligible things in her dialect in a quiet corner of town: the crook Book Book sook hook chook cook gobbledygook nook.
And if that grumpy hen has a raccoon keeping track of her finances from another quiet corner, that would be the Book Book chook cook's raccoon nook bookkeeper.
