Just something to think about. alan if you say rowling is behind a lot of it, then that stuff will be kind of cool. writers usually have a lot of backstories that don't fit into the novels. so it would be cool to get her side notes made into real life.

As to the overall topic, I thought it was somewhat striking that Bioware has now included basically a rape in one of its backstories (city elf) for the set to come out sometime in the next decade Dragon Age (we can discuss how EA may have killed the real game already some other time, but at least EA will make sure the game gets released ...).
