I have found I am, in addition to being the bibliophile I have always been, a bibliolater (a worshiper of books), and a bibliobibuli (one who reads too much) who exists in a constant state of bibliocharybdolis (a dangerous whirlpool of books likely to drown unwary readers).

'Bibliobibuli' was coined in 1957 by H.L. Mencken, an American writer, and contains the Greek 'biblio,' books, and the Latin 'bibulous,' from 'bibere,' to drink.
