I was being sarcastic, (i.e., the well-debunked claim that Ashkenazim were converts to Judaism from Khazaria, and thus have no genealogical ties to Israel, is also belied by Ashkenazim like David Bernstein being genetically tied to Arabs — unless of course the Arabs came from Khazaria).
