At least in the 2024 PokeTuber community, using "live' as a transitive verb is common to describe predictions about upcoming attacks. "He for sure lives this" is said when a battler is confident that their Pokemon won't be one-shot by an opposing Pokemon.
Maybe a shortening of "live through this" instead of "survive this.'
Player A: "You don't live this" Player B: "Yeah I for sure eat this." (They survive) "Hell yeah, we tank."
