  • Just read this in the Wordie blog! I hate it! H. A. T. E. I. T.

    April 20, 2010

  • There's a wordie blog....? Did I know this?

    April 20, 2010

  • I get it emailed to me.

    April 20, 2010

  • Well, la-dee-dah.

    April 21, 2010

  • Aye em spatial

    April 21, 2010

  • I use this phrase a lot, and while I tell myself I'm using it ironically, I suspect I just genuinely like the sound of it.

    April 21, 2010

  • I get Errata (the Wordie blog) and the Wordnik blog, both by RSS. Lately they've been mirroring each other, so if you're just getting the Wordnik blog, dontcry, you probably haven't missed much.

    April 21, 2010

  • Also, you can get to the blog through the link at the top of all the Wordnik pages. :-)

  • The first time I heard it was when jennarenn said "I love Great Big Sea! Mad props!" on one of my lists. So now when I hear it, I always think of 1) jennarenn, and 2) Great Big Sea. Both of which make me very happy... so screw you people who don't like making me happy! *sticks out tongue*

  • No offendment is intended. I have found however that it is perhaps more fun to hate words and phrases than it is to like them. It's that smug feeling you get, that lasts long after your shower.

I might add that Wordnik has the 'Add to favorites' feature but should also have 'Add to despised'. feature.

    April 21, 2010

  • Haha! "Add to despised." Not to worry, thtownse. Many of us have "stuff I hate" lists. It's all part of the Master Plan of Wordnik.

    *cue evil laugh*

    April 21, 2010

  • I keep my "Dumbisms" list myself. What I need though is one-click access to put words there.

    April 22, 2010

  • Ooh! Ooh! I want an "anti-favorite" button!!

    April 22, 2010

  • Yeah, we really need a 'despised' button next to the 'favorite' button. The zeitgeist page could then proudly proclaim the most despised words of each day. That would be kewlness.

Oh, and mad props in advance to the webdev here who implements the feature.

    April 23, 2010

  • Wow. Those props truly are mad.

    May 17, 2010

  • Hmmmm. I'm thinking rugby.
