Shadowban is the colloquial term for when Admin or the automatic spam filter removes the ability to fully use an account without your realising. A shadowbanned user’s posts and comments will continue to show up for them, but other people won’t see them except for the mods of the subreddit they post in, who will only see a ‘greyed out’ post or comment marked with a red dustbin icon.
