• One of the prime divisions of existent selenodont artiodactyls, or ruminants; the chevrotains, a superfamily consisting of the family Tragulidæ alone. Its characters are the same as those of the family. See chevrotain, kanchil, and cut under Tragulidæ. Also Tragulina.
