cazimi

Definitions

from The Century Dictionary and Cyclopedia

  • noun In astrology, the heart of the sun; the part of the zodiac within 17 minutes of the center of the sun.

Examples

  • Cazimi represents a planet in the heart of the Sun; that is, if a planet be only seventeen minutes before or after the Sun, as if the Sun were in fifteen degrees thirty minutes of Taurus, and Mercury in fifteen degrees twenty minutes of the same sign, Mercury would be then in cazimi, or in the heart of the Sun.
