  • i worked at an abattoir that had been converted into a print shop for gig posters. they left the hooks up. it was very becoming for the rock n' roll lifestyle, i thought.

  • I'll bet you had to be careful you didn't put out an eye with those things. ;-)

  • they were rather intimidating..! but the meat stamps were fun. stamping "rump roast" on random people's orders always brought a tear to my eye..

    *nostalgically gazes into space*

  • Are you kidding?? I must have one of those!

    January 23, 2008

  • only $6 bucks at this site. they don't appear to carry my other favorite though - fatback.

    January 23, 2008

  • Gosh, you're a handy person to have around, julia. :-)

    Hey--they have "foul stamps"!

    January 23, 2008

  • ha ha! and i love how they just throw "fish" in with veal/lamb/fowl (sic). because fish clearly falls under one of those three categories..

    January 23, 2008

  • Julia, I think you misunderstood. The proprietors of the stamp shop aren't fond of fish. The heading clearly states:

    "Veal, Lamb and Foul Stamps"

    January 23, 2008

  • This is neither here nor there, but someone at work arranged for a catered lunch recently, and listed the vegetarian option as "tuna salad."

    That was pretty fowl.

    January 23, 2008

  • Maybe the fish were old, and therefore foul.

C_b, was that tuna served on meat bread?

    January 23, 2008

  • reesetee, too bad you can't get a stamp for "meat bread"..(or maybe you can, mwahaha.)

    January 23, 2008

  • Heehee! Oh, the things one could do.... ;-)
