As to whether the ACLU is a subversive organization, I note that Bob Barr is willing to associate with the ACLU, and my view for years has been that if "we" (i.e., self-styled liberals, progressives, etc.) displayed moreo understanding of people who take the Second Amendment seriously, then "they" would take our professed commitment to the Bill of Rights more seriously.
