While no savant or charlatan, Deborah, Dowager Duchess of Devonshire, now 90 and universally known as Debo, has certainly been honored by the queen and is treated with more than a semblance of reverence on both sides of the Atlantic — there was a recent article about her in the New York Times and an adoring photo-feature in Vanity Fair titled Debo With a Blue Dress On.
