Imani

The name Imani means "faith" in Swahili, and subtly reflects the African-American and Latin American ancestry of the ensemble's five members: flutist Valerie Coleman, oboist Toyin Spellman-Diaz, clarinetist Mariam Adam, French hornist Jeff Scott, and bassoonist Monica Ellis.
