Manufacturers have tried to do it in the past, but the the Interlock is the first system I've seen that stands up to abuse and holds the lenses firmly in place.

I also have used Speer, and Sierra bullets with good results, and I must admit the Hornady Interlock is a winner for the price.

I like the Hornadys SST Interlock bullets I use them in 165 gr in my 3006.
