I think one of the really appealing things about Enki in particular is that he has this sarcastic, blunt personality but that he's fundamentally a kirin, so more than Keiki (who is quite stoic) and Taiki (who is a boring, personalityless golden child) he's really interesting to me.

Keiki, a significant character from the previous novel, does make an appearance in this one and I think having previous knowledge about him makes these scenes with him and Taiki far more fun.
