Personally, I wish they would have tried a different screenplay writer, I think MR is part of my issue when the movies fall short of expectations.

It seems valid to reject a simple equation of "methodological naturalism" with "science", however MR is a very good rule of thumb, especially that in the whole of science no "non naturalistic" explanation for anything has ever been shown to be true, indeed I'm not sure how science can even cope with the non-naturalistic?
