The Seattle Municipal Court is really arguing over semantics, and once again (as with the Mamiya sexual harrassment case, the whistleblower lawsuit awarding a $460,000.00 judgment against Judge Bonner, and everything else) the court is willing to waste exponential amounts of taxpayers money to flout this strange notion they have of judicial independence.

I don't know about Charles, but this definitely has come back to bite judges like Bonner and Mamiya who have both had serious judgments against them in the past year, along with a handful of interventions by the Commission on Judicial Conduct, which has cost taxpayers in the ballpark of $2,000,000 or more in total attorneys fees, judgments, etc.
