The nation's six largest baby bottle manufacturers announced earlier this spring that they have either already eliminated or will phase BPA out of their product lines, and companies such as Nalgene and Eden Foods have taken voluntary actions to remove BPA from products intended for use by adults of reproductive age, such as sports bottles and food cans.

Particularly because their popularity has given rise to cheap knockoffs of the original "Nalgene" brand bottles (the laboratory versions of which have been analyzed to death), I'm not sure how much better they are on the leachate front than the disposible bottles, but the widemouth design does make the periodically washing needed to wipe out the inevitable bacterial growth whole lot easier.
