  • n. a Bavarian cheese delicacy. It is prepared by mixing one third aged camembert, one third aged Romadur cheese (60%) and one third butter. Sweet or hot paprika powder, salt, pepper, and onions are added. An optional amount of garlic, horseradish, cloves, ground cumin or caraway seeds may be used and some cream as well.

  • It was a hands-on cooking class, and we made soft pretzels (enjoyed with a spicy Obatzda cheese spread) , wild mushroom and spinach strudel (which was AMAZING – phyllo dough isn’t as difficult to work with as I thought…), grilled bratwursts with caramelized onions, and Black Forest cupcakes.
