One part of it personally concerns me is the Surtax on the Wealthy.

Now if this new tax passes and you make $800K, then you'd pay 35% taxes and another 9.3% for California State Taxes and then ANOTHER 5.4% in this Health Care Surtax.

And if this was such a GREAT deal, then why are the Superrich who CAUSED the need for the bailout — and who will reap MOST of the Benefits of a recovery (cause they have most of the WEALTH) NOT receiving a $1 Trillion Income Surtax to pay for it????

I believe that a semi-permanent Tax rate with a potential spot Surtax for Emergencies works better than shifting Tax rates.
