Glenn McGrath, very much "The Prince of Trundlers" – an antipodean Mike Hendrick with peroxide and a big gob – has left the scene, Matthew Hoggard and Dominic Cork limp on, their obvious talents as medium-pacers somewhat tarnished by diverting private lives.
