• Of or pertaining to both the Atlantic and the Mediterranean; specifically, in anthropology, of or pertaining to the dark, dolichocephalic, tall European type inhabiting the shores of the Mediterranean from Gibraltar to the mouth of the Tiber and several points of the Atlantic coast. Also called littoral.
