I cant have all my DAL methods in the baseclass as I have 100 of user controls, and 500+

So at the moment this code will go in a shared page that goes accross all the websites, but I need to be able to access the propertys of the correct masterpage Classes so the bit that is _7495 is the class name and I need somehow to be able to set this from the baseclass of the content page to use the right class.

Is it just the case when using Overrides and MustOveride in the above configuration two masterpages can share the same baseclass, and one have to be created per masterpage??

When I have a masterpage base class that exposes properties, can I not have two masterpages sharing the same baseclass.

I spent 3 hours trying to figure this out tonight, but i think even if I copied the baseclass and gave the class a different name, I got the same problems - which would seem weird

It's late (here at lease) .. and maybe this is but a momentary lapse of reason, but we're trying to something relatively simple; define a baseclass for our pages.
