- noun Colorless prismatic crystals, C6H5.CH3.C = ON.CH.OH.CCl3, obtained by the interaction of chloral and acetophenonoxime at low temperatures. Upon contact with acids it decomposes into its components. Used in medicine in eases of epilepsy and tetanus.
