- noun A genus of hyphomycetous fungi characterized by dark-colored hyphæ and conidiophores which bear brownish, three- (or more) celled cylindrical or spindle-shaped comdia. C. Amygdalearum is parasitic on the leaves of the peach, plum, cherry, etc., in Europe.
