  • A family of dicotyledonous, choripetalous plants of the order Geraniales, the widow-wail family, formerly included in the family Simaroubaceæ, but now placed by Engler between the Zygophyllaceæ and the Rutaceæ. It consists of the genus Cneorum only (which see) and widowwail, 1.
