• In photography, noting a process in which a plate coated with washed collodion emulsion is immersed in a solution of gelatin, casein, or a similar substance, to perfect the film; or a plate coated with washed collodion emulsion is washed with hot water and covered with a thin film of rapid gelatin emulsion.
