The manuscript with the copyedits is sent to you and you check over it, approve the copyeditor's changes, make changes of your own (but not too many) add lines, take lines out, etc.

As I think I might have mentioned, the copyedits were a nightmare, and just when I thought it was done and dusted, I’m currently wading my way through yet another set of page proofs that contain strange additional bits of text, the origins of some of which are a mystery to me.

And then maybe write that last book review column, and look at some copyedits, and then maybe spin while I listen to the last story and a half in METAtropolis, which I am finally getting around to listening to a year or so after it came out.
