It calls for one young prairie chicken. I'm not sure what that is -- if it's a nickname like a 'prairie oyster' or 'cow pattie' -- or if it's an actual chicken.

Feathers--used for display purposes. I wouldn't try frying one of these creatures. They're a protected species, and some are endangered. :-)
