This year, my trail cam was turned off, my straps to my hang-on stand and ladder sticks were loosened, and the feeder lowered to the ground and the battery disconnected.

When I put a hang-on really high up, I'll use a safety rope attached to my waist just to avoid 'stepping off'.

I do put the climbing sticks up, with a cable lock, but I pack the hang-on in with me in the morning and I haven't had any issues the past three years.
