Name of a "traditional" local dance among the Guernsey islanders "discovered" by folklore researchers in the 20th century. Turns out this was not a traditional local dance per se, but rather a version of the Russian "squat dance" that had been introduced to the islanders by soldiers stationed there in 1799.
