• A family of decacerous cephalopods of slender form, with small head, large fins, non-retractile tentacles, suckers two-rowed, and siphon without valves. The leading genera are Loligopsis, Leachia, Pyrgopsis, Taonius, and Cranchia. Also called Taoniidæ and Cranchiidæ.
