Commissioner of Province Laws, to ascertain if there was any foundation to stories of improper treatment of the employees of said office, and also to investigate the manner in which the business of said office has been done, and expenditures made, reported that, after a careful consideration of the evidence and argu - ments, the stories referred to in said order and circulated in the public press and otherwise, as to improper treatment, are not true, and fully exonerating said commissioner therefrom; and asking to be excused from reporting on so much of the order as relates to an investigation of the manner in which the business of said office has been done and expenditures mpde.
