- noun An unnatural or morbid state characterized by a revolting attraction toward the dead. It manifests itself in various ways, those subject to it living beside dead bodies, exhuming corpses to see them, kiss them, or mutilate them, etc. Necrophilism sometimes develops into a sort of canuibalism.
