The reason I ask now, after the hearing, is because the direct approach (proposing an alternative rather than just poking holes in the status quo), though it would not have been very effective against the paleoclimatological argument (where you need primary data which are expensive to acquire and require global travel, etc.), might work quite well against the physico-climatological argument.
