• A family of spiders, allied to the Lycosidæ and Agalenidæ, and having the eyes placed in four rows, the legs long and slender, and the abdomen long and cylindrical: typified by the genus Podophthalma. It is represented in the southern United States by the genus Tetragonophthalma.
• A family of cyclometopous brachyurous crustaceans containing the genus Podophthalmus.
