And to actually post on topic, I think that the predistribution clearly states a specific agenda: in fact, it seems that they distributed the early releases to those who would tout the film: that aspect they can probably argue as a marketing strategy, and thus NOT giving pre-show copies to Clinton et. al. they can argue as not being in their marketing interests.
