  • noun A selachian fish of the family Cochliodontidæ, known only from teeth which are rhombic or rhomboidal in shape, four- or five-cornered, slightly convex or more strongly arched with finely punctate crown surface and crenulated borders. It occurs in the Carboniferous of Europe, India, and North America.
