  • noun In chem., a compound which may be viewed as formed by the union of arsenic sulphid with the sulphid of a more electropositive metal. There are three classes of these salts, represented by the general formulæ M3AsS4, M4As2S7, and MAsS3. Formerly called sulpharsenate.
