Cool list idea!
Not to rain on your parade, but when numbers are spelled out, they generally don't have "and" in them. E.g., "five hundred and twenty-two" would actually be "five hundred twenty-two." Still, the list features phrases the way people say them, in which case the "and" makes sense. :)

Thank you c_b for your input. You certainly caused a shower as I set about doing some checking. I think the use of 'and' in spelling numbers is probably a function of where in the world you are. I'm guessing that you're not in England. Here in England we do tend to write using 'ands' in certain places, but not in every step down. If I can develop the patience some time I'll try to analyse the rules. To me it simply comes with useage. Here we do seem to write it as we say it. Otherwise to me it just seems 'wrong'. But I have heard numbers spoken the way you state - perhaps in American films? Interested to know - would you say 'one googol one'. 'Cause that sounds well minted! Ah, now the sun's out again!

Mollusque! You linked eleventy one without checking if it was on a list! I took it in in my orphanage! You should know better!

Hi, TSB. Linking a word (by putting it in brackets) is not the same as listing and then delisting it. The tradition on Wordie when suggesting a candidate for listing is to bracket it for emphasis, whether or not it was previously listed. I didn't want to list eleventy-one, having already listed eleventy, but I thought gangerh might be interested in it.
By the way eleventy one should be hyphenated, so perhaps it should be tagged as a misspelling. There are lots of ghosted words with that tag if you want to collect them.

Ta, sionnach. Btw, how many googolplexes would it take to change a universe? You only have a light bulb moment to answer.
