bilby commented on the list winter-holidays
I'd like to suggest the traditional Irish winter festival, Baoirnh o Feumeth. On this day, usually in the deep reaches of December, Irish people around the world (including the diaspora, and even those absconding on study abroad jollies among the pampas) dust off their collection of pooping plastic figurines. Mostly animals, these figurines are traditionally arranged in a nativity scene on a sheet of absorbent white towelling. The Chosen One is often depicted tending to Bejeesus, a marzipan infant wrapped in swaddling-candy. Then, the weakest in the herd is selected for sacrificial offering at the altar of the Grand High Bongo of Confectionery Dioramas. The remainder of the Lord's Flock, after being blessed by Saint Anthony and fed a ceremonial meal of chocolated-coated coffee beans, are packed lovingly away until the following year, or until a call-up to internet stardom is issued by BiCDiC (the Bizarre Confectionery Diorama Church).
I'm surprised you haven't heard of it.
Amen.
