(having spent the majority of my life there). they are very poor, in some parts it looks like a 3rd world country. little education, little opportunity for advancement, not because they don't want to, but because they don't know how. it has been interesting to watch how clinton appeals to the poor and uneducated. when in reality obama had a period in his life he was poor, he knows what is means to struggle and the value of hardwork. to me he give me hope the american dream is alive and bush has not destroyed it with his tax breaks for the rich and cooperations and cutting benefits for those who need it most.
