It will obviously appear that, I derive my specifical term maximeous from maxime (most or greatest,) but no word occurs to my mind of the precise meaning I wish to convey, and therefore, this term is in some degree arbitrarily applied. I mean by it an excess of action, or too long continued exertions, whereby they are rendered injurious.
