That's not to say that there isn't such a thing as old school art, but I think the reason why, for example, Peter Mullen's work in Monsters of Myth such as the shadowcat on page 26, which struck me as a tip of the coif to Wormy appealed to me is because it was, first and foremost, Mullen's own work rather than a deliberate imitation or aping of another artist's style.
