RIHattem commented on the word transfluvial
Referring to railroad cars that need to be transported over a river crossing, e.g., between St. Louis, Mo / East St. Louis, IL, as transfluvial traffic or commerce. TRRA (Terminal Railroad Association of St. Louis) does this for railroads that only serve one side directly and need to interchange cars with railroad on opposite side. TRRA acts as a neutral switching carrier.
