  • I found the word defined as "the ability of humans to cooperate in large groups of genetically unrelated individuals" in a flyer announcing a 2012 workshop at the campus where I work as an administrative assistant. The workshop is co-sponsored by The National Institute for Mathmatical and Biological Synthesis (NIMBioS)and National Evolutionary Synthesis Center (NESCent).
