  • Website and web site are 2 different things: a website is the HTML (and similar) code that is located at a web site. Because the two are very closely related concepts (such as a building and the property/land a building is located at), they are commonly confused (much like people might say "go to 100 Main Street" when in fact what the actually mean something more like "enter the building located at 100 Main Street").
