I think my chief objection to this list -- although all of them are very nice words indeed -- is that I could far too easily put them all into one sentence.

My chief objection is that I don't find these words particularly "beautiful". It can't be a measure of the inherit nature of the concept, because of hush, so it must be from the sounds?

Wow...this list makes me want to relax to the tranquil melody of the wind chimes' lullaby as a stretch out next to a murmuring stream and watch the luminous, golden sun shine through the waterfall's mist at dawn. (Milosrdenstvi threw down the gauntlet and I couldn't resist....9 out of ten aint bad. lol)

I agree with 'seanahan' because "diarrhea" is found on some so-called beautiful word lists. 'Kinda like' a type of form(sound) over function(denotation).

I'm thinking that Mr. Funk's intention was to honor words with the most beautiful definitions or sentiments of the time - not the words with the most beautiful pronunciations. Either way, I disagree with his list.
