  • Considering the origins of this site, I am surprised the word is not here. In a sentence:

    Esquivalience is the Mountweazel of the 21st Century.

    In a paragraph: To entertainthemselves at dull cocktail parties, Julius and Rebecca invented a game they called Esquivalience. Jules dropped some Gobbledygook on one side of the room, and Becca timed how long it took to reach her on the other side.

  • Gobbledygook is the use of "big words" to the extreme. In this usage a horse becomes an equine creature. A lion becomes the largest of African felines. Big words become polysylabic nomenclature. Writers use Gobbledygook to try to impress their readers.
