Megalogoi simply means "big words". It is derived from Greek: μέγα mega + λόγοι logoi. Not only does it literally mean "big words", but it also doesn't suffer from being a large word itself, as is the case with other words used to describe substantial words (sesquipedalian, etc.). It thus enables one to comment on the person who tries to use megalogoi without having to use such words themselves.
